Following on from previous conversations around this topic at the UK network meetings, the latest European Network meeting in Barcelona and our previous survey we realise there are many aspirations amongst members of this network to experience multiple learning opportunities in the area of AI in addition to the offering by NTL.
What would be a better way to explore and develop this topic further if not an appreciative inquiry interview and summit?
A team with passion for this topic has formed back in March and has come up with the interview protocol and a plan for a summit event following the discovery phase. The team included: Ann Shacklady-Smith, Lesley Moore, Cliodhna Mulhern, David Baines, Anne Radford, Rosie Norgrove, Tally Hatzakis and David Shaked.
We would like to invite you all to take part in an inquiry that hopefully will help take us in the right direction by enabling members to co-create their desired learning opportunities across Europe.
“For those in Europe, what mix of learning choices and associated delivery arrangements will best enable us to develop our understanding and ability to practice AI with confidence, creativity, innovation and expertise?”
In this document you can find the interview protocol for the discovery phase of the inquiry. You can complete it alone and submit it on-line (using this link: ELATE on-line). Alternatively its questions can form the basis of a conversation between you and your interviewer. Whichever approach is taken, all those who complete it will be invited to attend a shared event where this inquiry will be taken forward through dreaming, designing and expanding our opportunities for learning in Europe.
Please ensure your responses (either your own or your interviewee's) are submitted through the online tool 30th September to allow us sufficient time to prepare for the next step.
The event will take place in London on 12 October 2009. We would welcome as many people from across the continent to join us and take part in this exciting journey!
